March 7, 1953 – April 26, 2016 Alpharetta, Georgia | Age 63

John S. Conlisk, 63, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2017 of complications from a previous stroke at his home in Alpharetta, Ga. with family by his side. He had resided there for five years.

The family will receive visitors Saturday, June 10, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.

The Rev. Philip Ching, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, and services will end with a luncheon at St. Michael Catholic School.

Mr. Conlisk was born in Monroe, Mich. on March 7, 1953 to John Edward Conlisk, deceased, and Diana Heil of Toledo, Ohio.

Also surviving are his son, Johnny Rafael Conlisk of Rockwood, sister Joy Cooper, brother- in-law Bill Cooper, nephews Bradley Cooper and Garrett Cooper of Atlanta, Ga., and cousins Jill Robinson and Jan Krupp of Traverse City, Jennifer Walters of Woodhaven, Joanne Jaworski of Jackson and Jack Wuest of Ann Arbor.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Conlisk.

After graduating from Catholic Central High School, Mr. Conlisk graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in finance.

Following graduation, he pursued his love of skiing in Aspen, Colo. for a year, then returned to Michigan He soon began his 32-year career in finance with A.G. Edwards in Detroit. This company became part of Wells Fargo and he served as vice-president of their advisor group.

Mr. Conlisk was a loyal and loving father, son, brother and friend to many in all walks of life.

His favorites moments were spent with his son, and he loved tennis, skiing, and biking. He enjoyed his home in Royal Oak, where he spent most of his adult life.
