We are living in an interesting time. Some of us have done well, and others may have had to struggle a bit. As we approach our 50th Reunion on September 11, 2021, alumni have asked the SMCC50 Committee if they can help financially so that all alumni can afford to attend the reunion.

To this end, the SMCC50 Committee has created the SMCC, Class of 1971, 50th Reunion Fund and is starting a fundraising campaign. This campaign has the following two goals:

  1. Keep the cost of the SMCC50 Party to $50/person,
  2. Provide a pool of money to help those who cannot afford the $50 ticket price.

The SMCC Committee is organizing a Challenge Campaign. Victor Meyer has agreed to donate up to $1,000 for the purpose of matching contributions from other alumni. For example, if someone donates $100, he will match the donation so the total donation will become $200.

We challenge other alumni to also consider donating up to a certain amount for the purpose of matching donations. If interested, send an email to the SMCC Committee to let them know you are interested in matching donations.

For those making simple donations, we suggest a donation of $100, although any amount (e.g. $20) is appreciated. You can use the button below to make your donation. You can donate using your PayPal account, a credit card, or a debit card. If you wish to donate by check, make the check payable to Victor Meyer and write “Donation to SMCC50 Committee” in the memo field. Mail the check to:
